never coming back...

Pray for me as I pray about how to spend my summer. I was recently challenged by an article in World Magazine about an organization called Mission Year.

The group places Christian college/post-college students in year long ministry opportunities, similar to the time served by dedicated Morman youths. The article focuses on one student who, after his Mission Year, exchanged plans for medical school for full time ministry.

When Campolo hits the recruiting trail to try and find Christians willing to take a one-year break from college or to pause before entering the professional world, he finds lots of folks willing to cut checks to fund the program. But he needs warm bodies. 'When I go to a Christian college, I find kids are very focused on getting a good job, finding a wife, buying a home—it seems like the American dream has become synonymous with the evangelical dream.' ...If you let a kid experience living out the gospel, he may never come back.

Therefore, whether you eat or drink [go to school or go to work], or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
