washington: places...

How cool is it that our country has miles of land dedicated to the memory and celebration of our nation! I was so amazed once again by the extent of God's blessing on this land. We are free enough, rich enough, and safe enough to just roam around history.

I remember sitting at the WW2 memorial with Joe, G and Dani. I think we all cried at least on the inside. It's one of my most favorite places in the world to go and sit.

s-i loved the wwii memorial. it was beautiful and so meaningful. i want to go sit there with you. maybe we'll have to find a fountain in portland sometime.

j-i've seen it before. and with only one day, the schedule had to be highly shrunk. we even skipped georgetown. :(
